Misfit Vapor X Review – Wear OS and LightWeight Design

Connected quality watches are not really hard to find, but they are if you want to find them at an affordable price. Misfit still has good reviews for its affordable Wear OS smartwatches, including the Misfit Vapor and Misfit Vapor 2 proving that the company has serious potential. It has just announced the Misfit Vapor X, the new smartwatch of its range Vapor.

The Vapor X is for people with a more active lifestyle and hopes to seduce them with a new lightweight aluminum alloy chassis and a new strap designed for comfort for long periods. However, this is not just for fitness fanatics, because the inclusion of the powerful Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor will appeal to a much wider audience. Could the Misfit Vapor X be your next connected watch?

Looking quickly at the Vapor X, you might think that Misfit just copied Vapor 2. But that’s not the case. Misfit has completely redesigned the Vapor X to attract new followers. The new 42mm aluminum alloy construction weighs just 43 grams and is only 12mm thick. However, it has not sacrificed screen size and you will find a 1.19-inch AMOLED touch screen in the front. The new bracelet is known as the Sport Strap +, and Misfit claims that it was designed to be ultra-comfortable – but if you’re not a fan of it you can exchange it with any other 20mm bracelet.

As mentioned above, Misfit finally abandoned the now-worn Wear 2100 processor and included the new Snapdragon Wear 3100 in the Vapor X, as well as 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage. They did not reveal the battery size of the Vapor X, but we know that it comes with a magnetic charger capable of charging 80% of the battery in just 50 minutes.

Misfit Vapor X Review

Misfit Vapor X Very Well Suitable for Athletes

Misfit says the Vapor X includes a world-class activity monitor and a “best-in-class” heart rate sensor on the back. In addition, it offers water resistance up to 30 meters, an ideal GPS chip for off-grid rides and a set of sensors, including an altimeter, accelerometer, and gyroscope. It’s not just about tracking activity, but you’ll also find an NFC chip for Google Pay, Bluetooth, and a microphone.

The Vapor X is powered by Wear OS and is compatible with iOS devices from iOS 10 and higher, as well as Android devices running Android 4.4 or later (except Android Go devices). There are many things to enjoy here, and the Vapor X comes with all the usual additions to Wear OS, such as customizable watch dials, notifications, and weather. It also comes with preinstalled applications such as Spotify (to actually use the 4GB of available storage) and the Cardiogram Cardiac Monitoring app.

The Vapor X has the advantage of being particularly affordable, sales start at 199.99 euros, which is already a discount from the normal price of $ 279.99 proposed by Misfit.

Misfit has introduced a new smartwatch with Android, but the Snapdragon 3100 is unfortunately accompanied by too little memory. For me, the only negative point, with 512 MB RAM scarce memory. Otherwise, there are some cool features on the list of specifications, such as the waterproof case, the GPS module, the NFC module for Google Play and much more.
